PUBLIC TRANSPORT – BRITISH RAIL

BARNES STATION is just under 1.5 miles to the South and is served by trains to and from Waterloo.

Buses 33 and 72 stop immediately outside the station on Rocks Lane

BARNES BRIDGE STATION is about 1.5 miles to the South West and is also served by trains to and from Waterloo

Buses 209 and 419 stop outside the station – but the 419 (which runs between Richmond and Hammersmith Bus Station) does not stop on Castelnau and has a “Hail and Ride” section which stops in Lonsdale Road near the junction with Castelnau.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT – TUBE

HAMMERSMITH TUBE STATION is just 1.5 miles to the north on the other side of the river and is served by the DISTRICT PICCADILLY CIRCLE and HAMMERSMITH & CITY lines. (There is step free access only from street to platform for the District and Piccadilly lines, but step free access from the street to train for the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines)

You can take one of the buses listed above from neighbouring Hammersmith Bus Station, or you can walk across Hammersmith Bridge to the church (approx. 18mins).

To plan your best PUBLIC TRANSPORT route you can use the Transport for London Journey Planner

BY BICYCLE

We are just 0.2 miles south of the River Thames tow path at Hammersmith Bridge and it is possible to cycle along most of this scenic route between Richmond to the West and Putney in the East.

There is a bus/cycle shared lane Northbound the length of Castelnau (towards Hammersmith Bridge).

In addition, there are several Santander Cycle Hire docking stations just to the North of Hammersmith Bridge. You can see their exact locations and availability status HERE

There are some cycle locking points almost opposite the church outside the petrol station, or plenty of railings around the church which you can secure your cycle to.

It is possible to plan a ‘cycle friendly’ route to the chuch by using the Transport for London website HERE and selecting CYCLING under the “travel options & accessibility” tab when the results show.

BY CAR – Satnav postcode SW13 9ET

On Sundays, there is limited parking in the driveway next to the church but some street parking in neighbouring roads:

Trinity Church Road (permits only Mon-Fri 10am-noon)

Castelnau itself – very limited parking to the north on Sundays and Mon-Sat after 7pm

Lonsdale Road – further north (permits only Mon-Fri 10am-noon)
