Safeguarding
Holy Trinity Barnes Church is committed to promoting a safer church. We believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. It is a Gospel imperative. This Church is committed to the care, nurture, and safe pastoral ministry of all children and adults and to creating a safe place for everyone to worship and grow in Christ. We expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment. We believe that Safer Recruitment and people management is an integral part of keeping people safe in the church.

Safeguarding
This means that we have both a Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Policy and Responding to Domestic Violence Policy. These are available below. All staff, (including temporary staff, volunteers and PCC Members) have been made aware of these procedures. Parents and carers are encouraged to read these Policies.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child or vulnerable adult’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about these individuals are discussed with their parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child or vulnerable adult’s welfare.
