Fledglings (Aged 0-3)
The much loved Fledglings group meet during the second section of the service. They normally go out after the first block of songs to the Portakabin, where they follow a pre-school programme of familiar songs, puppets, a bible story and talking to God, after which they enjoy playing together. Mums and Dads are welcome to stay, but the hope is that once the youngsters settle into the routine, parents and carers can return to church for the rest of the service.
Buccaneers (Pre-school – Year 1)
From the last year of pre-school (so for those children starting Reception in Sept 2019) to Year 1 there is a new group as part of Buccaneers. Children will be dropped at the hall (entrance in Trinity Church Road) between 9.15 and 9.30 for joint play time, welcome and worship before going to the second room in the Portakabin for Bible, prayer and activities. Parents should collect children at the end of the session via the vestry.
Buccaneers (Year 2 – Year 5)
Also dropped to the hall before the service this group of children will remain there after the joint play, welcome and worship time, where they will enjoy a Bible video and talk, prayer activity, craft and games. These children will also need collecting at the end of the service via the door through the vestry, not the main entrance on Trinity Church Road.
Adventurers (Year 6 – Year 8)
Adventurers, meet in the Old Vestry at the front left of the church. This group will join with the adults and the Fledglings for the first section of the service before leaving to study the same Bible passage used in the Sermon. It is hoped that this will allow the young people to begin to engage with the service as the adults do and also allow for discussions to continue at home after the service.
